Dr. Darius E. Beechaum, Pastor

Dr. Darius E. Beechaum, the third child given to Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Beechaum, was born in Petersburg, Virginia. He is a product of the Petersburg Public School System from which he graduated in 1990. He then furthered his education at several schools, including, Indiana Tech, Richard Bland College, Richmond Virginia Seminary and Higher Learning Bible Institute and Seminary, where he received a B.A. in Theology, a Masters of Divinity Degree, and a Doctorate of Religious Studies and Christian Education. 

Dr. Beechaum served his country as an Infantry Soldier in the United States Army National Guard for seven years. He also served as an Assistant Chaplain in the Field Artillery for three years. Dr. Beechaum worked as a youth counselor for five years at the Peter Paul Development Center before becoming the Executive Director. In that position, he established new program like the Youth Empowering to Achieve Progress (Y.E.A.P) and various Fatherhood programs, including one of the longest running Fatherhood programs in Richmond.

Currently, Dr. Beechaum works as the Director of TRIO Student Support Services at Virginia Union University. He also serves as the Vice President of Infinity Bible Seminary and previously served as Moderator of the Chickahominy Baptist Association (CBA). Dr. Beechaum is married to the beautiful former Jenell James and together they have two beautiful daughters, Chanell and Danielle.

Over the years, Dr. Beechaum has helped families, children, and seniors throughout the Tri-City area. He has received accolades from three different Governors, Churches, Corporations, and local Community Organizations. Despite the recognitions, what drives this Man of God is to do the will of his Father in Heaven. Jesus is the reason he lives. It is not his love for Christ, but that Christ first loved him. His desire for you today is if you do not know Him that you would give your life today (Romans 10:9 - 10).
